New York artist Devin Kyle Cuthbertson is at it again! This trailer for the upcoming film “Daryl Michael Basquiat” looks like it gonna be pretty cool. Odd as fuck. But cool. Props to Devin. Hey, That guy looks like Jean-Michael Basquiat a little bit doesn’t he? Nope.

Oh yeah and props to iLikeZach for shooting and editing the dagum thing as well. All the cool kids had their artwork on display in this awesome show curated by Hennessy Youngman at the Family Business Gallery in Chelsea. iLikeZach, a modest observer and cool points holder in his own right, decided to talk about himself in the third person and film some of the awesomeness. The actual name of the show is “It’s a small, small world” by the way but I didn’t know that till I saw this other dude’s youtube video about it. Whatever. Since it was so crowded, I’m pretty happy that I got a chance to show some of the footage from inside the gallery itself as well as an intimate discussion about Tommy Coleman’s piece in particular. I caught a lot of Spank Rock performing out front as well. It was pretty magical for an art show opening. I see vaginas in the sky, folks. Vaginas in the sky… ILikeZach is the illest dude on the planet Earth!

Now, to be real, we kinda lost sight of homegirl for a hot minute (she had a kid, she did her for a minute), but if she ever had any doubters wondering whether or not she was gonna make a high-powered return to the upper echelons of awesomeness, then blow that echelon up and start a new, even higher playing field to bump dope music on…. The New York Giants Have A New Motto for 2012!

Soulebrity is one of the hardest working musicians I’ve ever listened to. It’s no wonder that he would release NY Giants Motto 2012 literally within minutes of their hard-earned victory over the Green Bay Packers. I think I can use one of his quotes to try to describe the attitude on this track: “fuck what all them hater say! Can’t see us ’cause the trophy in the way. G-MEN Whatup!”. Alright so I gotta admit, I randomly strolled into the Soho Apple Store a couple of minutes ago, and I caught some pretty fluid tunage coming from upstairs. I figured it was just the in-store music playlist blasting something other than The Beatles for the first time in six weeks. That is, until I heard the singer stop mid-song to say “wait, so um, bring it back to the bridge please”.

That’s right folks, Erin Christine herself was in the middle of a sound check for a live performance at the store. Free-ninety-five was an attractive admission price for my first time hearing her music live so I grabbed a seat, charged my iPod, and listened.

At the end of it all, I have to say, Erin Christine is a chill-ass artista. She plays around in a pretty fun vocal range that reminds me of “Beautiful” era Christina Aguilera just barley dusted with a little bit of Keisha’s post-club angst but without that overwhelming seddity twang (no dis to either party but y’all know what I mean). Furthermore, her stage presence is pretty tight. She’s keeping us nerds excited with all eyes on her throughout the show. I really like it. Sorry guys and gals. Random moment. Had to Share.

This is her latest Music Video for the song “Say”. Word on the street is she did a version with Pusha T? idk. But I do know that she did a residency at the Bitter End all last summer. I also know that right this very second, she’s singing a song that she wrote in the studio with John Legend. So I don’t think this is by any means the last we’ll hear of Ms. Erin Christine. Go head Erin! iLikeZach!!!! :-):-):-)…;-D

iLikeZach.com is admittedly a very strange place. We go in a ton of different directions as far as genre, style, sensibility when we pick art to put on blast within these hallowed internet halls. That’s exactly why the circus, sort of measured free-for-all found whimsically displayed in Osage Orange’s “Alchemy” music video is so cool to me. It’s exactly what we’re doing here.
